Fabrizio Romano says ‘unbelievable’ Arsenal player has joined Premier League rivals on loan

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arsenal have loaned one of their first-team players to a Premier League rival.

The Gunners have enjoyed a superb summer on the transfer front, bringing in a host of exciting players that have made Mikel Arteta’s side considerably stronger.

Piero Hincapie is the latest star to join Arsenal, who have also landed Martin Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze, Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke among others.

Arsenal have also been moving players on, with the likes of Nuno Tavares, Marquinhos, Jakub Kiwior and Albert Sambi Lokonga all leaving.

Now, Oleksandr Zinchenko is set to be the next Arsenal player to depart the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal set to loan Oleksandr Zinchenko to Nottingham Forest

David Ornstein is among the top sources who have reported that Zinchenko is set to link up with fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

The Athletic journalist reported that Forest quickly turned their attentions towards Zinchenko after their deadline-day move for Atletico Madrid full-back Javi Galan fell through.

Forest are understood to have submitted a deal sheet before the 7pm deadline, with the player having agreed personal terms over a move to the City Ground.

Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, suggested that Zinchenko to Forest is already a done deal, saying the Reds have signed the Ukraine international.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has likely played his last game in an Arsenal shirt

Arriving from Manchester City in 2022 for around £30million, Zinchenko was Arsenal’s first-choice left-back in the opening season-and-a-half of his spell at N5.

Indeed, Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus – both of whom joined Arsenal from City – were credited with taking the Gunners to the next level.

However, inconsistent performances and injuries have seen Zinchenko drop down the pecking order, and he’s now behind the likes of Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Zinchenko was previously deemed “unbelievable” but it looks as though his time at Arsenal is up.

With his contract expiring in 2026, his Forest loan stint will effectively take him to the end of his deal, so it’s likely he has played his last game in an Arsenal shirt.
