Fabrizio Romano says Arsenal must decide in next 24 to 48 hours whether to sell ‘incredible’ player as bid received

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arsenal will decide over the next day or two whether to accept a bid for an “incredible” player in their ranks.

The Gunners have made a host of big signings this summer, with the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze all arriving at N5.

Arsenal have also moved several players on, with several contracts expiring and others – such as Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos – being sold for small fees.

However, the Gunners now have the opportunity of selling one of their fringe players for around £22.5million.

Arsenal set to decide on Porto’s Jakub Kiwior proposal in next few days

The player in question is Jakub Kiwior, who is eager to leave Arsenal in search of first-team football.

Portuguese giants Porto are looking to strike an initial loan deal for Kiwior which includes an obligation to buy.

Fabrizio Romano has taken to X to claim that Arsenal are set to decide in the next 24 to 48 hours over whether to accept Porto’s proposal.

The transfer insider stressed that Kiwior was never going to travel this evening as the deal now depends on Arsenal, who are still deciding internally.

Romano also suggested that the green light for Kiwior could also depend on talks with Bayer Leverkusen for Piero Hincapie.

Why Arsenal fans may not want this deal to go through

Although Kiwior is a fringe player, he has done more than enough to win a place in Arsenal fans’ hearts thanks to his talent and superb attitude.

And while Gunners supporters accept that Kiwior may be better off going elsewhere for regular game time, they think he’s worth much more than £22.5million.

Arsenal fans recently took to X to claim such a low fee for a player of Kiwior’s quality and age is “atrocious”.

They noted how Liverpool managed to get £35million for Jarell Quansah, a player currently in the same bracket as Kiwior.

Kiwior has been described as ‘incredible’ since he’s been at Arsenal, and there’s certainly scope for him to be sold for a higher fee.
