Eberechi Eze is on top of Arsenal’s wish list right now.
The Crystal Palace star has been due a big move for over a year, and the Gunners are genuinely interested in signing him this summer.
However, Eze could cost up to £68 million, which is the value of his release clause, including bonuses. That seems a bit steep for a player who may not be a guaranteed starter.
Arsenal should still do everything they can to sign Eze, but if they can’t, there are other options on the market.

Inter Milan are scared that Arsenal could make a move to sign Ademola Lookman
Ademola Lookman has dominated the transfer news in Italy recently.
The Nigeria international has been absolutely incredible for Atalanta since he joined them in the summer of 2022 from RB Leipzig.
Lookman has directly contributed to 77 goals in 118 appearances for La Dea, and also almost single-handedly won them the Europa League last year by scoring a hat-trick in the final.
Now, the 27-year-old is desperate to leave Atalanta, and Inter Milan have been pushing to sign him.
However, after Atalanta rejected the Nerazzurri’s offers, Lookman has skipped training and has even released a public transfer request.
Inter remain keen to sign Lookman, but Quotidiano Sportivo claim on the front page of Thursday’s paper (August 7, 2025), that the Italian giants are scared of Arsenal.
It has been revealed, as translated by TMW, that Arsenal could make a move for Lookman if they miss out on their main target, Eberechi Eze.
The Atalanta forward could also be an option if Leandro Trossard ends up leaving the Emirates in the coming days.
Lookman is valued at £52 million by Atalanta, which makes him a cheaper option than the likes of Eze, Rodrygo Goes and also Rafael Leao.

Should Arsenal sign Ademola Lookman?
Lookman has improved a lot since he left England after spells at Charlton, Everton, Fulham and Leicester City.
The Nigerian is definitely a good player, but Arsenal should be looking at someone much better.
A lot of Lookman’s success at Atalanta has come when he has played as a second striker. Arsenal have no need for one – Mikel Arteta’s system doesn’t require anyone in that role.
Arsenal’s focus should be on a devastating left-winger who is capable of beating any full-back on the planet and creating chances.
That is why we think Arsenal should go all out for Leao instead of someone like Lookman, who was not too great in his previous spells in the Premier League.
