Out of Arsenal’s six new signings, Gyokeres and Zubimendi will be guaranteed starters, and Madueke is also expected to play nearly every game.
Those players, combined with the other three who have increased the squad depth, should give Arsenal the boost they need to win a big trophy, but Mikel Arteta wants another signing.
That player, as recommended by Arsenal’s recruitment team, is Eberechi Eze.
The Crystal Palace star is one of the most exciting players to watch in Europe, and he is due a big move as he enters the prime years of his career.
Sami Mokbel has shared the information he has about Eze, and he has been told that the Englishman is viewed as a game-changer by Arsenal’s recruitment staff.
The journalist said on The Highbury Squad: “The interest in Eberechi Eze is absolutely genuine.
“Arsenal’s recruitment team look at Eberechi Eze, just as we do, as a player with an abundance of quality, brilliant balance, can take players on, can go left or right, comfortable with the ball at his feet and is a game changer!”
Another deal could ruin Arsenal’s chances of signing Eze
Arsenal need to time their move for Eze perfectly.
Going too early could lead to Crystal Palace holding out for a bigger fee, while making a move too late could force the Eagles to reject all offers because they won’t have time to find a replacement.
Andrea Berta needs to find the perfect middle ground to make his move, but there is another transfer that could complicate things for the Gunners.
Marc Guehi has entered the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park, and Palace are open to offers to sell him to avoid losing him for nothing next year.
If Guehi is sold before Eze, there is a chance that the Eagles could choose to retain the latter, as it would be terrible to lose their two best players in the same window.
Arsenal cannot take that chance by waiting too long, which is why we think Berta would be better off tabling a bid for Eze in the next week or so.
