Andrea Berta worked masterfully to sign Mosquera, taking advantage of the unfavourable position that Valencia found themselves in.
The Spaniard is an Arsenal player, but not officially, with fans waiting for the club to announce his transfer.
Amid the pause in action, Spanish outlet AS explained what Mosquera is doing right now, and why he has still not been unveiled as a member of Mikel Arteta’s squad.
AS note that Mosquera has been in London for the past six days to finalise his transfer, but while paperwork is processed, the defender remains in the capital.
The 21-year-old is with his agent and his parents in London, waiting for the green light so that he can travel to Singapore to meet up with his new teammates.
Mosquera’s transfer is to be made official at ‘any moment’, with the wait appearing to be almost over.
Three of Arsenal’s new signings are on the tour, with Mosquera ready to join Kepa Arizzabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi in Singapore while Noni Madueke enjoys his extended holiday.
