Arsenal star William Saliba has spoken out on his contract situation, claiming that he hopes a new deal will be signed soon.
The French defender has two years remaining on his contract with the Gunners, with Real Madrid circling a possible move.
With that in mind, Saliba has told AFTV: “Hopefully [a new contract] soon…! This year, we will try to win everything.”
It would come as a huge boost to the side, following new deals for Gabriel Magalhaes and Myles Lewis-Skelly already this summer.
Beyond Saliba, there are question marks over the future of Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard as well.
Arsenal reach Eberechi Eze personal terms agreement
Arsenal have reached an agreement on personal terms with Eberechi Eze as a potential deal moves closer, claims French football outlet Sports Zone.
The Gunners have shown interest in the England international this summer as a possible option to improve their goal-scoring chances.
With those personal terms in place, it’s claimed that Arsenal are now willing to start the formal process of triggering his release clause at Crystal Palace.
Liverpool set to formalise Alexander Isak transfer approach
Arsenal have long been linked with a move for Alexander Isak, but it seems as though they will miss out on the striker again.
That’s because, according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are set to formalise their interest in the forward after the sale of Luis Diaz.
The Newcastle star could move for an English record fee, taking their spending over the £300 million mark.
While Arsenal have been following a move for some time, a deal appears to be unlikely for them, following the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.
