Valencia reject Arsenal’s opening bid for Cristhian Mosquera
Arsenal are looking to source a defensive reinforcement this summer, with Mikel Arteta keen to be supplied with someone who can provide genuine cover and competition for William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Cristhian Mosquera has emerged as the primary target, and talks on the player’s side are said to have progressed quickly.
However, Cadenaser reports that Valencia have rejected Arsenal’s opening bid for the 21-year-old, worth in the region of £16 million.
The Gunners are expected to return with an improved offer for Mosquera, who purportedly has a release clause worth between £17-£21 million.

Eberechi Eze is high on Arsenal’s winger list
A new wide forward is another priority on Berta’s to-do list this summer.
The likes of Nico Williams and Rodrygo have been the two wingers most prominently linked with a switch to N5, but Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze has emerged as a genuine candidate.
Arsenal Insider revealed on Thursday that Arsenal have enquired about Eze’s availability.
Further reports have now suggested that the Crystal Palace man is one of the Gunners’ primary targets this summer.

Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga signings to be announced next week
Martin Zubimendi is set to sign for Arsenal from Real Sociedad for £55 million, with the player completing the formalities ahead of the move at London Colney last week.
Sky Sports report that the Spaniard’s switch to N5 will be announced next week.
Meanwhile, the same source suggests Kepa’s imminent move to North London is also expected to be announced next week.
The shot-stopper will arrive in a £5 million move from Chelsea, with the Gunners activating his release clause.
