Arsenal summer signing has just named which club he wants to sign for next when he leaves the Gunners

One of Arsenal’s summer signings has been talking to the media whilst on international duty.

Andrea Berta’s first transfer window as Arsenal’s sporting director was an eventful one, welcoming eight new players.

The Arsenal squad is undoubtedly in a better place now, with Mikel Arteta adding a combination of star names, up-and-coming talent and experience.

While the new players have settled very well, one new arrival is already thinking about his future beyond the Emirates.

Christian Norgaard maps out transfer plan after Arsenal

In a window that saw Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres arrive, the signing of Christian Norgaard is naturally overlooked.

Norgaard made an impression on his Arsenal teammates before he even signed for the club, being a key component in Thomas Frank’s project at Brentford.

Though joining Arsenal was a dream come true for Norgaard, who was emotional upon seeing his name on the back of the shirt, the midfielder is already planning life away from North London.

Speaking to the media on international duty, as transcribed by Danish outlet Bold, Norgaard revealed his plans for the future.

“I can guarantee that Arsenal will be my last club abroad,” Norgaard assured, before naming the club he’s eager to join next.

“I still want to return to Brondby when my contract at Arsenal expires.”

The Danish club has Norgaard’s heart, but right now, his desire is to see out his contract at the Emirates.

“My contract is two years with an option for a further year, and I would be happy to stay at Arsenal for the extra year if things develop in that direction,” Norgaard said.

He added, “If it turns out that it wasn’t the right match, we’ll go home to Denmark after two years.”

The 31-year-old has his next steps planned to a tee, not shying away from making his transfer desire known.

Norgaard was a top-quality signing by Andrea Berta

Norgaard has been called the most underrated signing of the summer transfer window, which is credit to Berta for acquiring the midfield veteran for just £15m.

Arsenal’s midfield desperately needed attention in the summer, not only to replace a former starter, but to replenish the void left by Jorginho.

The capture of Norgaard did just that, with the player bringing Premier League experience and leadership qualities to the dressing room.

It was a smart and essential signing for Arsenal to complete, and now, the Dane will be eager to be given a greater platform to impress.
