Cesc Fabregas now wants to sign shock Arsenal star, just weeks after Andrea Berta bought him

Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is currently the manager of Como in Italy.

The Spaniard was one of the Gunners’ best players during his time at the club, and it was very painful to see him leave for Barcelona in 2011.

It hurt even more when Fabregas returned to the Premier League and joined Chelsea, but his playing days are long behind him now.

The 38-year-old has been doing a fine job at Como, and one Arsenal player is on his radar now for the January transfer window.

Cesc Fabregas wants to sign Arsenal star Kepa Arrizabalaga in January

Arsenal signed Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea earlier in the summer.

The Spanish goalkeeper made his competitive debut for the Gunners in their Carabao Cup win over Port Vale midweek, and he looked assured.

Kepa will continue to deputise for David Raya between the sticks, and at £5 million, he could prove to be a big bargain.

However, Sports Boom have revealed that Cesc Fabregas wants to reunite with his old Chelsea teammate at Como in January.

The former Gunner has already signed his compatriots, Alvaro Morata and Sergi Roberto. He is in need of a new first-choice goalkeeper, and Kepa has been identified as the perfect choice.

After signing from Chelsea just over 12 weeks ago, Kepa penned a three-year contract at the Emirates, keeping him at the club until 2028.

It will be interesting to see what Arsenal will do if they receive an offer for the Spaniard in January.

Arsenal should only sell Kepa on one condition in January

Kepa is good enough to be a first-choice starter at many clubs across Europe.

The Spaniard was fantastic at Bournemouth last season, and his decision to join Arsenal as a backup certainly raised eyebrows.

Now, if Como come calling in January and offer him the number one role, Kepa could well be tempted to make the move.

In an ideal world, Arsenal would be silly to entertain any offers halfway through the season.

However, if Kepa decides to leave in order to play regularly, Andrea Berta may have to oblige – but only if he can make a profit on the £5 million Arsenal paid to sign him.
