Arsenal fans can finally turn their attentions away from the transfer market and back on to matters on the pitch as the new season looms.
Arsenal face a tough start to the season and begin their campaign with a trip to Old Trafford against a rejuvenated Manchester United side, who have recruited well this summer.
Andrea Berta is under pressure to make a number of player sales in order to fund one more attacking signing and Oleksandr Zinchenko has made it clear he is unhappy at Arsenal.
The left-wing position is one that the club wants to strengthen before the end of the window and a ‘strange’ update on one Arsenal target for that area has just been shared.

Arsenal still interested in Eberechi Eze despite Spurs talks
Speaking on the latest episode of talkSPORT’s ‘Premier League All Access’ podcast, journalist Alex Crook has shared that Arsenal are still interested in Eberechi Eze despite the player being pursued by Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal fans have made their feelings clear over Eze and have declared that the club cannot allow the 27-year-old talent to join their arch rivals.
However, it appears that this transfer saga is set to rumble on as Crystal Palace contemplate losing both him and their captain Marc Guehi.
Crook stated: “It’s a strange one because I think if they had a choice and they had to lose one of them, they would choose to lose Guehi simply because he’s only got a year left in his contract.
“It’s a disaster financially if he gets to this time next year, hasn’t agreed a new deal, which by all accounts he won’t and they have to let him go for a free.
“I think it’s more likely that they cash in on Eze and Arsenal are still lurking in the background when it comes to him because the impression I get from Guehi is that he’s quite content to do another year at Palace. He’s going to be the captain.”
Eze prefers a move to Arsenal but if there are no indications from the club that a bid is set to be lodged, the England international will have no choice but to pursue Champions League football with Spurs.
Arsenal’s result and performance against Manchester United may determine Eberechi Eze transfer
Whilst Mikel Arteta won’t be drawn into making hasty decisions after one match, the result and performance against Manchester United may play a big part in the speed in which Arsenal pursue Eze.
There is a growing feeling that the Gunners are looking to try and sign Eze late in the window in order to reduce Crystal Palace’s £68m asking price.
However, should the Gunners struggle in a creative sense against Manchester United and not get the impact out of the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke as they desire, it could accelerate their plans.
Arteta will know that every point is vital this campaign and his side simply cannot afford a poor start to the season and have the pressure of playing catch-up to those teams at the top of the league.
