Viktor Gyokeres is all set to become an Arsenal player.
The Sweden international is one of the most prolific strikers on the planet, and he became the Gunners’ top target after they couldn’t strike a deal for Benjamin Sesko.
Negotiations with Sporting CP haven’t been easy at all, but after crossing a lot of hurdles, an agreement has been reached in principle for the move.
Gyokeres is expected to join Arsenal soon, and another player could now follow him to the Emirates Stadium.
Cristhian Mosquera has done exactly what Viktor Gyokeres did to secure Arsenal move
Arsenal identified Cristhian Mosquera as their top defensive target this summer.
The Spaniard had entered the final year of his contract at Valencia, and he was of interest to several clubs in this window.
Valencia also wanted to keep Mosquera and offered him a new deal, but like Gyokeres, he only wanted to join Arsenal.
Earlier in the window, when Manchester United tried to sign Gyokeres, he rejected them and made it clear that Arsenal were the only club he wanted.

Now, Mosquera has done exactly the same despite receiving an even better offer from another club.
That’s according to Spanish journalist Hector Gomez, who said on the Tribuna Deportiva Valencia podcast: “Valencia presented him with an offer from another club.
“I don’t know which one, but I’m going to find out. That was better than Arsenal’s offer, but the player said: ‘No, I don’t want to go to that club, I want to go to Arsenal alone.’
Fabrizio Romano has also revealed that Mosquera rejected an important offer from the Serie A because the only club on his mind was Arsenal.
Cristhian Mosquera’s arrival could end one Arsenal player’s career
Arsenal fans will love players like Mosquera and Gyokeres because of how desperate they have been to join the Gunners.
Rejecting other clubs and making it clear to their own team that they only want to sign for Mikel Arteta’s side is a fantastic sign.
Mosquera will be a very good signing for Arsenal, but his arrival is likely to push Jakub Kiwior out the door, despite his good end to last season.
The Pole is one of several players who could leave the club this summer, including Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
