Arsenal fans would love to see Eberechi Eze become Andrea Berta’s seventh signing of the summer.
Eze has been the driving force behind Crystal Palace’s threat over the years, and now, the England international could move on.
Steve Parish was stunned that Eze didn’t have more interest last summer, but the situation is vastly different a year on, with Arsenal being admirers of the 27-year-old.
Berta has already impressed at Arsenal by bolstering Mikel Arteta’s attack through the signings of Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, with further movement expected.

Arsenal learn Eberechi Eze transfer conditions
Gyokeres isn’t expected to be Arsenal’s last big signing this summer, which will be music to supporters’ ears.
Some believe that signing Eze could be decisive to Arsenal winning the league, an opinion that fans will agree with.
There is some difficulty with a possible deal, as despite the forward being open to moving to the Emirates, Arsenal are reluctant to spend big on a 27-year-old.
Eze’s release clause is in the region of £68m, but it’s now become apparent that the Gunners wouldn’t have to pay the fee in one chunk.
As per the understanding of Arsenal transfer expert ‘Hand of Arsenal’, who has been well-informed of the North Londoners’ business this summer, Palace are looking for a relatively low initial payment.
“Arsenal and Palace have engaged in talks, multiple sources confirm.
“As of today, Palace are looking for approx £30m as a first payment for any agreed deal.”
Hand of Arsenal reinforced that ‘personal terms are not an issue’, but there haven’t been further advances as of yet.
The update is certainly food for thought for Berta, who could get the ball rolling with a mere fee of £30m.
Eze would be a summer-defining signing
Being a Premier League-proven talent who is very much in his prime, signing Eze would be huge for Arsenal.
The Englishman’s versatility would be a sizeable boost for Arteta, with the Palace star capable of playing on the flanks as well as his preferred attacking midfield role.
The capture of Gyokeres gives the Arsenal manager the striker he so desperately wanted, while Madueke offers competition in the wide areas, but Eze’s quality represents so much more.
Having that additional star signing would rocket the Gunners’ ranks, depth in quality that wasn’t available to those in N5 last season.
