Arsenal transfer news and rumours today as Rodrygo situation develops amid ‘contact’ for Noni Madueke

Catch all the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours, including updates on Noni Madueke, Rodrygo and Simon Adingra.

Arsenal have made two signings so far this transfer window, but far more are expected to come through the door before it slams shut.

Andrea Berta has worked hard on signing players who will fit in the squad, but the next task is to find those who can make a difference.

The forward line is of particular concern for Arsenal, as talks ramp up over possible options up front and out wide.

So, with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours for the day.

Arsenal make contact over Noni Madueke move

Arsenal have opened up official lines of communication with Chelsea over a deal to sign Noni Madueke this summer, claims David Ornstein for The Athletic.

The clubs are discussing the financial package for the winger, who has impressed over recent seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Madueke is claimed to have agreed a five-year contract, with personal terms already sorted between Arsenal and the England international.

If he signs, Madueke would be the tenth player to join the Gunners from their rivals, Chelsea, in the Premier League era.

Arsenal are waiting for Rodrygo transfer green light

Arsenal are ready to pay what they need to for Rodrygo this summer, but are waiting for a green light on the player’s end to make an official move.

That’s according to transfer expert Steve Kay, who claims that the Real Madrid star has a real possibility of moving in the next month or so.

He revealed on YouTube: “As I’ve said, conversations have happened with his agent, but he’s at the Club World Cup, where he’s had a handful of minutes, so something is going on.

“This could really happen, this could really happen. Look at who’s said it and who’s reporting on it. It’s all down to Rodrygo; if he says he wants to leave, Arsenal will pay the money.

“This is something that could be done later in the window, towards the back end, I’d have thought, because there’s a lot of conversations to be had.”

Former Arsenal target Simon Adingra set for Premier League move

Brighton ace Simon Adingra was on Arsenal’s transfer shortlist last season, but failed to make a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Now, following a challenging campaign, the forward is finally set for his move, but not to the Gunners.

Instead, according to Fabrizio Romano, Adingra is set to join Premier League side Sunderland, following their promotion.

It means that Arsenal will take on the star once again, rather than line up with him in the team.
