Arsenal transfer news and rumours today with Gabriel Martinelli exit links amid Fabrizio Romano update on defender

Keep up with the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours, including updates on Gabriel Martinelli, Marc Guehi and Theo Hernandez.

Arsenal have had something of a slow start to the transfer window, but work is going on behind the scenes to improve the squad.

A midfielder, a goalkeeper and a striker are currently being worked on, while the Gunners are also looking at a winger.

Elsewhere, there could be some potential exits on the cards for a few stars.

So, with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours today.

Bayern Munich target Gabriel Martinelli deal

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli has emerged as a potential transfer target for Bayern Munich this summer.

That’s according to Christian Falk, who claims that the club are discussing the possibility of signing the Brazilian.

Arsenal have held exploratory talks with Martinelli over a possible contract extension, though it is unclear whether he could stay or if he’s free to leave this summer.

Marc Guehi is ready to reject Arsenal for Liverpool

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as an option for their backline.

However, according to The Sun, the centre-back is prepared to turn down a switch to the Gunners to join rivals Liverpool instead.

Guehi has just 12 months remaining on his current deal with the Eagles, which could see him leave this summer for a reduced fee, or next summer as a free agent.

While Arsenal are on the hunt for another defensive option this summer, it may be tough to lure the England international without the guarantee of minutes.

Al Hilal are pushing for Arsenal transfer target Theo Hernandez

Another player who has been on Arsenal’s radar is AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez.

With his contract dwindling, plenty has been discussed surrounding his future with the Serie A club.

While Arsenal have shown interest, Fabrizio Romano claims that Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are pushing to sign the French international.

Left-back isn’t a priority position for Arsenal this summer, even though Hernandez has been on the radar.

It means the Gunners look set to miss out on him to the Saudi Pro League outfit.
