Mikel Arteta has built a terrific team at Arsenal.
The Gunners were only good enough to be a top-eight side when the Spaniard first took charge of the club back in 2019.
Arteta has had to work extremely hard to transform his squad, and over the last three seasons, Arsenal have been one of the best teams in Europe.
However, there is still a missing piece in the puzzle – a prolific striker.
Viktor Gyokeres thinks ‘he could be the final piece of the jigsaw’ for Arsenal
Arsenal’s interest in Viktor Gyokeres is not a secret anymore.
The Sweden international has been one of the most prolific strikers in the world over the last two years, and he is expected to be on the move this summer.
Gyokeres has told Sporting CP that he wants to join Arsenal, and he is adamant that he will be a good fit at the Emirates Stadium.
Graeme Bailey revealed on TBR Football that Gyokeres personally believes that ‘he could be the final piece of the jigsaw for Arsenal’.
But, he is getting anxious because a deal is nowhere near completion yet.
Bailey said: “Clearly, Arsenal have done a lot of homework on Gyokeres and he does want to join Arsenal, but we haven’t got to the point where he’s rejected anyone else or anything.
“Gyokeres knows where he wants to be; it’s about legacy for him. He really wants to secure a good move, and Arsenal are actually that.
“I think anxious is the word I would use for him. He’s anxious because he thinks he could be the final piece of the jigsaw for Arsenal.”

Gyokeres is spot on about Arsenal – here’s why
Arsenal have top-class players in almost every position on the pitch.
Mikel Arteta has players who can change the game in nearly all the areas, but the lack of a prolific goalscorer has really hurt him over the years.
Gyokeres, who has scored close to 100 goals over the last two seasons, is right to believe that he can be the final piece of the jigsaw for Arsenal.
Even if he only manages to score half as many goals for the Gunners as he has done for Sporting, Arteta’s side will become the favourites to win the Premier League title.
It’s clear that Gyokeres is desperate to sign for Arsenal. Berta now has to strike a deal with the Portuguese champions to get it over the line.
